Building Community

At COURAGEOUS COMMUNITY EVANSVILLE , our mission is to build community, develop skills, and inspire creativity.

 Our organization serves the residents of the greater Evansville, Indiana area, with a special interest in the underserved, disadvantaged, and disabled.  

We provide group activities that include the arts, sewing, use of textiles, creative activities, therapy animals, and faith based education that builds the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Courageous Community Evansville is a  501(c)(3) charitable organization. 

 We offer free classes that include sewing, quilting, painting, drawing, weaving, needlework, beadwork, paper crafting, and a women’s Bible study art time.  

All equipment and materials are provided. 

New classes and events are introduced throughout the year. 

We work with individuals that are 18 years old unless otherwise specified.

 We have provided 277 classes where our participants sewed, quilted, crocheted, weaved, painted, drew, beaded, and paper crafted. 

We have engaged with over 210 individuals ranging in age from 

teenagers to senior citizens

557 Meals served 

32 Quilts made and distributed to multiple non-profit organizations and people in need 

183 Scarves crocheted and 150 blessing bags distributed to the unhomed 

62 Blankets sewed for animals and delivered to local animal shelters

60 Prayer squares delivered to a local nursing home

Over 380 creative projects completed through various artistic mediums, including weaving, painting, beading, drawing, and paper crafting

Over 275 Pieces of clothing have been donated to those in need 

9 Large print study Bibles gifted to individuals 

Through this program countless friendships have been made, support systems established, creative endeavors accomplished, and prayers answered. 

CommUNITY is what we do and the impact is immeasurable.
